When Your Wedding Awakens Your Contradictions

(…and why that’s actually a good thing.)

You dream of an intimate wedding… but you also love a good party. You crave simplicity… but your imagination is overflowing. You’re tired of traditions… yet part of you finds them beautiful.

Every couple faces this — and it’s perfectly normal. A wedding is a reflection of both of you, so contradictions are inevitable.

The danger is trying to “make everything make sense.” Perfect consistency doesn’t exist — it often kills the spark. Your wedding doesn’t need to be logical. It just needs to be real.

So if you can’t choose between a romantic slow dance and a rock playlist — do both. Because beauty often lives in the contradictions.

My tip

Write down separately what you each want to feel on the big day. Compare your answers — the differences aren’t problems, they’re clues to building a balanced, authentic celebration.
